A History of Marbled Printing & The Art of Katherine Radcliffe

• This exhibition showed examples of historical marbled printing, along with the unique contemporary adaptation of marbling by the artist.  Early drawings, prints and collages incorporating marbling are shown with current ” marbled paintings. ”  Done in a mandala format, with fine gold line painting following the contours of marbled backgrounds, these paintings suggest icons, illuminated manuscripts, or gold tooled designs found on rare books, and convey a sense of spirituality, serenity, and meditation.
